Congratulations to all who have been selected to be members of the first NASA Junior Engineering class in Grier Middle School’s Mars Lander Egg Drop program. Our academic team is thoroughly excited to begin this voyage with you. We are confident you are equally anticipating the project as well. Our first meeting will be Friday at 8:00 in Ms. Sanders room. Your teacher will dismiss you to come to my classroom for a short meeting. No need to bring anything except yourself.
We will begin on Wednesday May 1st. at 8:10 in Ms. Sanders room. During the first week we will be learning about many science, technology, engineering, and math concepts. You will be brainstorming, designing, and constructing during class. In the meantime you may go to NASA for kids to learn more about space exploration and the Mars mission.
Our competition will take place on May 24th at 1:00PM. Students and families will be notified of the Mars Lander Egg Drop ceremony at a later date.
Again, we look forward to providing you with a challenging and rewarding educational experience. Please free free to email me with any questions.
Sincerely,
Carolyn Sanders Chris Goodson

One of the most important things to learn about science is that sometimes things go wrong many times before you discover something new, It is okay to be wrong.
